Remembering Pago Pago
Tuesday, 28 October 2008

I wonder whether they have come back down to earth in Pago Pago. It’s been 2 month since American Samoa hosted the Festival of Pacific Arts and it was a massive event.
I know it took me a while to get back to the wintery reality of being home in Australia. It’s good to have the footage and the photos to look at. You can see for your self on our photos page.
In the coming months Australia Network viewers will get to see some of this spectacular footage when we launch the new Pacific Pulse program on Saturday, at 2220 Samoan time, and on Sunday November 2 at 1920 PNG time, 2120 Fiji time.
I’ve heard the festival has had one positive effect already – with huge interest in visitors for this years Miss South Pacific Pageant, being hosted in Pago Pago next week.
Well they’ve had heaps of practice playing hosts in American Samoa so it should be a good party.
